All of our cooking, including food preservation, is done in our outdoor kitchen over the wood-burning rocket stoves we built by hand from earth. We use scrap fence panels for fuel--resources that were otherwise destined for the landfill. Seriously, we're talking layers upon layers of sustainability here!
