Chile: A Primer for Expats is more for the curious than the other two books that complete the set, Life in Chile: A Former American’s Guide for Newcomers and its sequel, Expatriates to Chile: Topics for Living. Providing mostly introductory, though vital, information, the name speaks for itself.
After payment, you will be provided with a link that will include a password to download the PDF, as well as a password for you to unlock it. We will need a valid email to do this, but could also use private messaging if you'd rather not give it out.
A personal note from the author:
"An expatriate must become as familiar as possible with the prospective countries he is considering for immigration. I wrote this book to provide a quick overview of some highlights of Chilean living; benefits and pitfalls. I wish I could have read such material before arriving in Chile in 1996. There were so many things I needed to know when coming in Chile but I had no one to explain them to me. I had to learn the hard way but you do not. By completing this book, you will be much better prepared to live in Chile. If Chile ends up on your “short list” of countries to expatriate to, I recommend that you finish these pages and then if you are still interested in Chile to read my comprehensive book, "Life in Chile: A Former American’s Guide for Newcomers".
